The Lions game plan relies a lot on support play whereas luck is a big part of the Stormers. The former score tries by design, practice field moves and not as much opposition mistakes.

The New Zealand impact can be seen in the Stormers’ play already, but they need to learn to apply more patience in their game. First build an innings (phases) and then strike.

Talking about the Lions, the defence was nowhere close to what they will want it to be. To their credit though it has to be said that Issy Folau was kept quiet for the whole game. I recall only two occasions where he really had the ball, but he did manage to score on the second of those.

The Bulls from Pretoria are serious in need of a major improvement if they harbour any ambitions of having a good Superrugby season. They should take into account that they have only played SA opposition thus far.

The New Zealanders are far more ruthless on attack when opportunities present it.

Talking of which, isn’t it blatantly evident that SA (NZ) AR is bullying the New Zealanders off the field when decisions are made especially concerning fixtures?

Ever noticed that the NZ teams are mostly playing each other over the first few rounds? Talking about eliminating the opposition.

Well done to all the teams who managed to win the past weekend!
