The bigger picture.....

2015-02-12 19:26

South African politics have become depressing by the day. The state of racism is increasing by the day. South Africa as a country is in such a bad state. How did we ever get to a point where one cannot express their views without being labelled as being racist? Everyone has a right to choose any political party they want to follow. Being an ANC member does not make you a better person compared to a DA or EFF follower and vice-versa. People should be treated with dignity irrespective of their political choice.

Allow me to tap into the journey of the so called “long walk to freedom”, how in the apartheid lead government our parents upon completing their university studies where able to get jobs and how in our democratic government young men and women are sitting unemployed with their PhD's? These are not my questions or concerns but questions asked by young South Africans. The real issues are bigger than EFF or DA.

Allow me to touch on South African leadership that is not accountable. Will we ever get answers from our leader? Pay back the money is not some political game or joke but a serious question that should lead to accountability. Are we supposed to allow ourselves to be bullied? Is it a price that we need to pay for being taken out of the apartheid system? I will mention this again and again “Not every white person was for the apartheid system”

What is sad is how ANC has managed to hypnotise masses that they cannot even differentiate between right and wrong. What happened on the SONA 2015 is such an embarrassment for the country. It is about time we stop pointing fingers and do what is right. South Africa’s main problem is not EFF nor DA.

It seems like there is this huge focus on what the EFF is doing and who is influencing it. Let me make this clear the DA and EFF have one thing in common they are both opposition parties to the ANC and therefore it is ok for them to agree on certain things. Those who think EFF is used by the DA are hypnotized by ANC.

The purpose of this article is not to promote any political party but to look at the bigger picture. The divide in South Africa is no longer a black and white divide but due to lack of respect and accountability that is enforces by current leadership. It is ok to have different political parties and different views.
