ZAREEF MINTY JOINS THE DREAM TEAM OF PRIMESTARS AMBASSADORS

2015-10-02 05:00

I am honored, humbled and truly grateful to join the Prime Stars team as an ambassador, I will join the team of ambassadors which includes Boity, Sibusiso Leope, Jimmy Nevis, Chad Saaiman, Simphiwe Dana and Farah Fortune just to name a few. I am so excited to fulfill my goals and dreams of developing a structure and system, which will allow for the best growth of our youth. I have always been a fan of Prime Stars and the work that they do.

Primestars Marketing develops programmes for high school learners from disadvantaged communities, which use cinemas nationally as “Educational Theatres of Learning”. Topics include Matric Math & Science Revision, Career Guidance, Financial Literacy, Leadership development and Entrepreneurship amongst others. They are designed to help South African youth develop the skills needed to participate more meaningfully in the economy and are conducive to building a sustainable environment in which business can operate. To date Primestars Marketing has reached over 150,000 secondary school learners nationally.

This unique medium offers learners the opportunity to be taught in a fun and experiential manner and allows for great brand exposure, as well as talent identification. By supporting these programmes companies have the means of giving back to communities by educating disadvantaged learners in a safe and neutral environment outside of schools.

I strongly advocate for new innovative ways of teaching young people, we have to adapt to society and the various technologies that are available. By teaching school kids about Math, Science and other subject matter in a new innovative and thought provoking way like this will benefit them even further. I know that our South African youth will one day be the #1 most progressive youth population of any country in the world. I have a dream that one day our standard of the general youth will be so high, other countries will request for our youth to teach their young and not the other way around.

I would just like to thank the whole Prime Stars team. I am extremely excited to start this new journey with you all. I know that this relationship will never end and most importantly it will allow us to touch even more people and move our country forward one new bright spark at a time. I couldn’t be more pleased that this announcement occurred just before the commencement of the EMPIRE School Tour 2016, where we will be speaking at over 220 schools in 2016 all over South Africa with 3 special trips to Botswana, Namibia and Egypt.

We will be doing a mini school tour between the 12th of October and the 22nd of October this year. We will be speaking to students about the importance of overcoming fear, learning the importance of building up their own brand by commercializing themselves and also how to draft a professional CV.
