10 dreamy swing seats for lazy summer days

The TV series Revenge (season 3 starts on M-Net on 28 November) might be full of dark deeds but I just love that swing seat on the spacious veranda of Emily/Amanda’s childhood home at the seaside. I could put it to much better use than she does though – she’s so busy with her devious plotting she doesn’t have time to make the most of it.

Doesn’t this look ever so inviting! There’s something wrong with this picture, though – in the real world that dog would be on the seat in two shakes of a fluffy tail.

I love everything about this stoep room – the ample swing couch, the many French doors to let in the fresh air, the soft blue and green summer hues and the wooden decking.

A fine spot for romance

A simple swing acquires a huge amount of class with the addition of a fanciful chandelier hung from the tree. A perfect place for a special moonlight moment.

A girl can dream

My ideal version of this outdoor luxury would be big enough for me to lie down fully stretched out. And of course it would come with a view of the beach and the sea. And perhaps someone to bring me long, cool drinks from time to time.
