Amanda Bynes' parents have reportedly been supported by Britney Spears' father as their daughter receives help.
The 28-year-old actress is currently being held under a 5150 involuntary hold in a Los Angeles facility following weeks of worrying behaviour, such as reportedly shoplifting in New York after being arrested for a DUI in California last month.

Her parents previously had a conservatorship over their daughter after she spent time in rehab last year and it's thought Amanda could be put under another more serious hold, which would see her be administered medication against her will.
Britney previously went through a troubled period in 2007, shaving her head and checking herself into treatment facilities, and temporarily losing physical custody of her sons Jayden and Sean.
Having been through similar experiences, Amanda's mom Lynn and dad Rick are said to have been offered help from Britney's dad Jamie during this tough time.
"Amanda's parents are very worried and they got in touch with Jamie via mutual friends as he'd been through something similar," a source told British magazine Closer. "Jamie told them not to blame themselves and suggested they have counselling. He's offered to help in any way he can."
Other common ground the parents share is manager Sam Lutfi, who previously stood by Britney's side during her meltdown and is said to have teamed up with Amanda's folks to get her into psychiatric care. But Rick and Lynn are reportedly wary of his motives.
"Lynn and Rick's friends have all warned them about all of the awful things Sam has been accused of. They've urged them to be careful," the source added. "Amanda's family is not taking any chances, they've asked Jamie [who has been Britney's conservator since 2008] for his lawyer's details and for his experience over obtaining conservatorships."
