Amanda Bynes’ involuntary psychiatric hold has supposedly been extended for two weeks. The 28-year-old star became the subject of a 5150 last Friday, a California legislation used when people are deemed to be a danger to themselves or others. And according to E! Online Amanda’s initial 72-hour hold has been extended for the next 14 days.

Amanda flew back to Los Angeles from New York on October 10 and TMZ previously reported she was driven directly to the treatment facility after arriving at the airport.
She was placed on a 5150 involuntary hold last year as well and following her detainment, the star spent time in rehab and was made the subject of a conservatorship order.
Amanda’s parents Rick and Lynn Bynes were legally ordained as their daughter’s conservators following her July 2013 mental breakdown. And it’s believed they are likely to petition the courts to reinstate them as executors over a new conservatorship now that her newest 5150 has been extended for an additional two weeks.
The initial temporary guardianship order ended September 10, according to E! News. Since then, Amanda has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles and has displayed increasingly concerning behaviour.
Last week the star claimed she was seeking to obtain a restraining order against her father amid allegations he physically and sexually abused her.
She later recanted, writing on Twitter that her father “never did any of those things”, while accusing him of ordering her to be microchipped.
Her parents and siblings wasted no time speaking out to deny the claims and support Rick.
