Amy Poehler: Me and technology don't get on!

accreditation

The 43-year-old actress has written a book called Yes Please, which is a collection of essays about things she's experienced. In one she discusses feeling both old and young at the moment, something which is never more apparent then when she's trying to tackle new equipment. "Maybe ten minutes ago, when I was trying to reset my Apple ID password," she laughed to British magazine Marie Claire, when asked when she last felt like that. "I felt like, 'Oh God, I'm so f**king old.' Technology is the bouncer at a club that looks you up and down and says, 'No.' I also feel young because my instinct is to get bratty. My relationship with technology is dysfunctional. I feel like my phone is trying to kill me."

Amy has two sons with her ex-husband Will Arnett, Archie, six, and four-year-old Abel. In her book she admits having children earlier didn't occur to her, something she feels a lot of women will sympathise with.

"In your twenties, you're figuring out what you don't want to do, and who you don't want to be. In your thirties you're like, 'Let me now focus on what I want to do.' In your mid- or late-thirties, a lot of people experience this feeling of finally getting to do what you want to do. It's weird for the universe to be like, 'Now stop and go do this.' I'd say that, most women, if they had more time biologically, they'd take it," she said.

Amy is happy to be getting older as she sees it as a positive. Apart from anything her sex life has improved as she's aged, something she has no qualms about discussing.

"I give world-famous sex tips. Because I'm really good at sex and I like it a lot and everyone should listen to my tips. And not challenge me," she laughed.
