
Angelina Jolie feels her mother’s “influence” over her when she looks at her children. The 39-year-old actress is the mother of six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. After more than nine years together, she tied the knot to Brad Pitt in August of this year. Angelina’s mother passed away in 2007, but the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress still feels connected to her.

“I feel in contact with my mother when I look at my children. I can feel her influence over me then. I see that my way of raising them resembles the way she raised my brother and I,” she told the French edition of Marie Claire via People magazine.
“It's more apparent with my daughters Shiloh and Vivienne. Therefore, yes, my mother is there, present in this influence, all the time."
At Angelina and Brad’s wedding ceremony in France, the couple honoured Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, by having a dedication engraved to her inside the chapel where they said “I do”. The bride also wore a piece of Marcheline’s jewellery on the big day.
"She always tried to understand the complexity of the world. She had a great heart which was sensitive to the world's violence,” Angelina explained of her mother.
The actress is currently filming the romantic drama By the Sea which she will star in alongside her husband. The film is expected to be released in 2015.
“We'll play an American couple in the south [of France] that should remind you no doubt of someone,” Angelina said.
