Former Springbok captain John Smit introduced his baby daughter to the world this afternoon on Twitter, saying, “The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful girl today; welcome to Taylor Rose Smit! We are now officially a party of five!”
John ? who’s played 111 Tests with the Boks ? and his wife, Roxy, already have two children ? a son, Tyron, and a daughter, Emma-Joan.
John recently announced his retirement from professional rugby and returned from London where he’d played with English team Saracens for two years. In July he takes up a position as chief executive officer of Sharks rugby.
