Ariana takes Bette's criticism in her stride

accreditation

The legendary songstress told British newspaper The Telegraph that younger singers like Ariana look “so ridiculous” when they are “slithering around on a couch”. She also said the 21-year-old had a “silly high voice” but the Problem singer seems to be taking the comments in her stride. “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! not sure where that Bette went but i want that sexy mermaid back!!![sic]” she wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of the Beaches star striking a pose in a revealing mermaid outfit. The former Nickelodeon star captioned the image “all love here”. It isn’t just Bette’s music that Ariana seems to love, as she followed up the post with another tweet about one of her favourite films.

‘I will still quote first wives club every single day of my life’

“and I will still quote first wives club every single day of my life lmao [sic]” she wrote.

If Ariana was bothered by the recent comments, she hasn’t let it keep her down for long. As well as embarking on a new relationship with Big Sean, she is excited to be spending time with her nearest and dearest soon.

“Loves, I'm so glad y'all are enjoying #SantaTellMe. makes me so happy. lookin forward to some family time this week! Love & hope you're good [sic]” she tweeted.

The brunette beauty put on a cracking performance at the American Music Awards earlier this month, alongside Jessie J and Nicki Minaj with their hit Bang Bang.

Ariana recently admitted her new beau is very encouraging when it comes to who she works with.

“He’s usually very supportive of my collaboration selections but yeah, I don’t know, I just pick what I like and who I’m a fan of and hopefully it works out,” she told MTV News.
