Armie Hammer welcomes baby girl

Armie Hammer has become a father to a baby girl. The 28-year-old star of The Social Network has been married to wife Elizabeth Chambers Hammer since 2010. And now they’ve become a family of three, with the addition of their daughter on Monday, December 1. “Both mum and baby are doing great!” the couple’s rep confirmed to People magazine.

'They are such a loving couple that this is the perfect next chapter in their lives'

This will be both Armie and Elizabeth’s first foray into parenthood. And apparently it’s going swimmingly so far just one day after the birth.

A source told the publication they’re both “over the moon in love”.

The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in May, and announced they were expecting just one month later. And they’re thought to be the perfect candidates for mother and fatherhood.

“They will be amazing parents,” another insider told People back in June. “They are such a loving couple that this is the perfect next chapter in their lives.”

When the couple met, Armie apparently had a rather intriguing way of proposing. The actor was intent on marrying the brunette beauty, and made his sentiments clear.

"He sat me down and said, 'Look, we don't have to do this. We could just go our own ways, and then one day you'll be 40 and divorced and we'll run into each other, and we'll laugh and go out to dinner and have this same connection, and we'll wonder why we wasted all of that time. Or we could just do it now and enjoy the ride,'" Elizabeth told Town & Country magazine in 2013.

Armie and Elizabeth currently reside in San Antonio, Texas, where they own a bakery together. He is still acting, however, and was most recently seen in the title role of The Lone Ranger in 2013.

Next, the hunk will play Illya Kuryakin in Guy Ritchie’s action comedy film The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
