Asking for discounts – Kate is just like us

The Duchess of Cambridge is as much a bargain hunter as you and I. The mother to the heir to the British throne went shopping for antiques while pregnant with Prince George and asked for a discount on various items.

Kate popped into a store in Old Stables, Norfolk, while her husband, Prince William, dutifully waited for her in the car. Store owner Caroline Combe told Tatler the duchess had looked at various items.

“Of course she has a huge house to furniture – but I loved the fact that she’d asked [for a discount],” Combe said. “William looked like any man forced to go shopping with his wife – bored stiff!”
