Aw! Britney Spears 'has happiness bug' with new beau

The 32-year-old star recently appeared to confirm her relationship with Charlie Ebersol, revealing that she had met someone "special" and it's all "very new" during an appearance on Extra. This romance comes just a few months after her breakup from David Lucado, who was reportedly caught on tape cheating. It seems things are going well for the singer and she apparently couldn't be happier with her new love interest. “Britney is super giddy about this Charlie guy... Britney said in the beginning of the week that she’s ‘found a hottie’ and we think that he is the reason she is back to her old happy-go-lucky self again,” an insider told RadarOnline.

“She said that he is passionate and that he treats her like a woman."

Charlie, who was previously rumoured to have dated Sophia Bush, is the son of Saturday Night Live co-founder Dick Ebersol and has a successful career as a writer and producer. This is said to be another reason Britney feels comfortable with him, as he isn't after her fortune.

"The best part is that he has money of his own!” the source added.

“We all knew she wouldn’t be single for long and kept telling her she was going to meet the right one when the time was right."

But Charlie reportedly needs to impress a few more people before being welcomed into the family with open arms. One of them is Britney's father Jamie, who has also been her conservator since 2008 and is thought to have purchased the tape of David being unfaithful to protect his daughter.

“No one is going to let this guy get close to her without everyone’s approval,” the insider noted. “He is going to have to pass through the gauntlet because we are not going to let her get hurt again.”
