The retired English football star, 39, and his 15-year-old son were involved in a collision outside Arsenal's training ground in Hertfordshire, north of London, Saturday afternoon, according to UK newspaper The Telegraph.
Airbags in the athlete's Audi RS6 reportedly deployed when the vehicle collided with a Mitsubishi Colt. There have been conflicting reports of injuries sustained in the crash.
"David and Brooklyn did not suffer any injuries and as I understand it both passengers in the other vehicle were unharmed," a source initially told the outlet. "David and Brooklyn were shaken by the accident but thankfully OK."
Later reports indicated the driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital.
Police would not confirm if David was involved, according to BBC News, although they indicated the driver of the Audi was also "slightly injured".
Brooklyn's teammate Archie Davies appeared to support those claims with a tweet posted amid reports of the incident, according to The Telegraph.
“Just seen David Beckham looks like he got in a car crash and hurt his shoulder. Star struck by seeing David Beckham tbh," he wrote.
Hours after the initial report, however, spokespersons for the family had yet to speak out.
Brooklyn Beckham plays for Arsenal's under-16 team.
Players had just finished a match against Brighton shortly before the crash.
In addition to Brooklyn, David also shares sons Romeo, 12, and Cruz, nine, as well as three-year-old daughter Harper, with former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham.
