'She's told Victoria to focus on weight-training and ab work'
The fashion designer and her singer pal first got close in 2007 when Victoria was living in Los Angeles, while her husband David was playing for soccer team LA Galaxy. Now the Beckham brood have moved back to London, UK, the friends aren't able to spend as much time together anymore, but they reportedly make sure they exercise together when in the same city. It's thought Jennifer is keen to make Victoria see there's more to sweating it out than just SoulCycle spinning classes.
"Jen has offered to go to Victoria's LA house to work out. She's told Victoria to focus on weight-training and ab work, as well as heavily weighted squats and lunges to give her bum more shape. She also told her to cut her running in half," a source told British magazine Closer. "[Victoria] really misses Jen and is looking forward to spending some quality time with her - she thinks the workouts are the perfect excuse to catch up."
And it isn't just her musical pal who is reportedly backing Victoria's determination to keep fit. Her sporty spouse is also said to be on hand in cheering her on, despite not necessarily agreeing with her determination to get even trimmer.
"David's really supportive of [Victoria's] new regime and is excited to see the results. He's always encouraging her to stop pressuring herself to stay so slim," the insider added. "He's joked he'll need to work on his abs as he will now have competition for the best six-pack in the house."
