Beyoncé and Jay ‘united in strength’

Beyoncé Knowles reportedly feels "triumphant" after unveiling a shot of herself topless and pregnant. The 33-year-old singer and her husband Jay Z are parents to two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, but there were previously rumours suggesting they'd used a surrogate mother to give birth to the tot. However, the couple put doubts to bed when they showed home video footage during the final performance of their On The Run Tour in Paris last month. In one cute clip Jay is seen wrapping his arms around a heavily pregnant Beyoncé, whose bare belly is on full display.

'Finally shooting down the surrogacy gossip in such a creative way will have been a massive triumph for Bey'

"Finally shooting down the surrogacy gossip in such a creative way will have been a massive triumph for Bey," an insider told British magazine Look. "The whole situation was very upsetting for both her and Jay at a time when they should have been looking forward to becoming parents." The couple's marriage is thought to have been experiencing problems over the last months, so this show of strength could have also benefited their relationship. Beyoncé and Jay are said to want to convince the public things are OK between them by putting on a united front. Rumours things weren't going well began in May, when the Sweet Dreams singer's sister Solange attacked Jay in an elevator following the Met Gala in New York. "Beyoncé and Jay have been working overtime to change people's perceptions about their marriage," the source added. "They will have known it would be a difficult task, especially when their problems were played out in such an embarrassing and public fashion, but they're committed to showing everyone that they're firmly back on track."
