Beyoncé 'briefed' Jay before Solange's wedding

Beyoncé Knowles reportedly had a "big talk" with Jay Z before her sister's wedding. The singer's sibling Solange tied the knot with Alan Ferguson earlier this month in New Orleans. Solange's relationship with brother-in-law Jay appeared to become strained earlier this year after she lashed out at him in an elevator following the Met Gala in May, amid rumours he had been unfaithful.

'It was a bit edgy between them and he wasn't relaxed'
But it seems the family put their troubles aside for the special day, with Beyoncé apparently giving her husband a prep talk ahead of the nuptials. "Jay Z was on his best behaviour and stuck by Beyoncé's side, and their daughter Blue Ivy was there, too. Beyoncé had a big talk with Jay before the wedding and impressed on him how important it was that he do the right thing. He did, but it was a bit edgy between them and he wasn't relaxed," a source told British magazine Closer. The couple's relationship has been under the radar since the altercation in May. They embarked on their joint On the Run Tour to put on a united front, but even during performances each of them appeared to insinuate trouble in paradise by subtly changing lyrics to their tracks.

And Solange is said to have pointed a finger at Jay during her wedding speech.

"Beyoncé was on good form. She wasn't in really high spirits but she made a big effort. It wasn't easy bearing in mind how hard the past year has been for her. Jay did congratulate Solange and, although it was rather forced, it made Beyoncé happy," the insider added.

"[Solange] talked about the deep trust between her and her new husband. It seems a little like she was scoring points at Jay's expense, and he looked very uncomfortable."
