Birth certificate blunder ages man by 100 years

accreditation

A man has been listed as 154 years old on his birth certificate.

Chris King of Hull, England – who’s 54 – only realised a few days ago the legally binding document states he was born on 28 December 1858, meaning he’d be the oldest man in the world.

He joked to the Hull Daily Mail newspaper, "At my next birthday, I'm not sure how I'm going to fit 155 candles onto my cake.

"I might write to the Queen and see if she will send me a card next time."

If Chris was in fact 154 he’d be entitled to 90 years of backdated pension money, meaning he’d get a payout of almost £400 000 (R5,6 million).
