Brad Pitt is under investigation by the LAPD and LA County Department of Children and Family Services, according to reports.
The father of six was allegedly "verbally abusive” and “physical” with one of his children with Angelina Jolie on their private plane, TMZ reports.
Someone allegedly reported the star to authorities after he "went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids."
Brad -- who had reportedly been drinking -- apparently continued his rant on the tarmac, and tried to leave on one of the fuel trucks nearby.
The outlet claims that Brad and Angelina have already been interviewed by authorities, and that the Department of Children and Family Services plans to interview their children soon.
They added the investigation is "routine when anyone reports child abuse".
"We do not know the specifics of the alleged abuse ... just that it was supposedly both verbal and physical."
US magazine PEOPLE confirmed the report on their site, adding that Brad is not taking the accusations lightly.
“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” a source told them. “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
The shocking claims come just days after Angelina filed for divorce. She's asked for physical custody of Maddox (15), Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10) and twins Knox and Vivienne (8).
The couple have been together for 12 years.
According to Us Weekly, Angelina's decision was prompted some sort of major incident just days ago.
“The final divorce decision was only made one week ago,” the insider said. “An incident took place and prompted [Angelina] to act and file.”
While it’s not clear what happened, it “affected the entire family,” the source added.
Angie’s father, actor Jon Voight, said it was not a decision his daughter would take lightly.
“Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this,” he told Inside Edition.
“I don’t know what (the reason) is,” he adds. “It’s a sad thing. Say a little prayer. I am concerned for Angie and the children and hopefully I will be seeing them very soon.”
