Bride becomes an internet sensation after going on honeymoon WITHOUT her new husband

If your husband’s travel documents weren’t in order, would you leave him at home and go on honeymoon with your in-laws?

Huma Mobi, a creative director at an advertising agency in Pakistan, decided to have the adventure of a lifetime – without her hubby. And to add insult to injury she took hilarious pictures of her trip and posted them on social media.

Just before Huma and her husband, Arsalaan Sever Butt (28), were due to leave for Greece on their second honeymoon, they were told Arsalaan’s passport wasn’t ready. At first she didn’t want to go alone, but the couple decided it would be best for Huma to go anyway, since the trip is non-refundable.

It would, however, mean that Huma would be seeing all of Greece’s breath-taking scenery and sites without her beloved, who’d be stuck alone at home in Pakistan.

Though she says she cried on the first night of her holiday because she missed Arsalaan, she decided to approach the holiday with a sense of humour, she told BuzzFeed. Buzzfeed.

The 28-year-old poses in every holiday photograph with an outstretched arm and with a sorrowful expression on her face – to show how much she misses her husband.

“The idea of the ‘phantom pose’ came to me from my husband, actually,” she told the website The Knot. “I made a whole series after my friends said it was amazing and funny over Whats App,” Huma says.

Luckily it wasn’t the couple’s first honeymoon – it was a vacation they’d planned with Arsalaan’s parents. Their actual honeymoon was after their wedding day in December last year.

After Huma’s cellphone was also lost – she accidentally dropped it in the ocean – Arsalaan’s parents joined in the fun with the photos.

That’s when Huma decided to start posing for photographs without her husband ór her cellphone.

Despite all the fun she had, she says she was very happy to be reunited with Arsalaan. “I had fun, but it wasn’t at all the same without him there. I think we hugged for a good 20 minutes at the airport,” Huma told The Knot.
