Britney Spears won't listen to her own songs

The 34-year-old singer is currently enjoying a musical comeback thanks to her Piece of Me Las Vegas residency and recently released ninth studio album Glory. When it comes to rating her own tunes, Britney relies on other people to give her their verdict, as she always steers clear of listening to her own offerings. "It’s funny, because I don’t really listen to my music," she told Flaunt magazine. "My kids do and my nieces do. I’m about the creative process. I’m in the moment of being creative and then I put it out there. Of course, I sing my songs every night (at my residency) and I have to listen to it that way, but I’m all about change. And new. And forthcoming.

Britney has been in show business since the tender age of five, and has enjoyed a successful, and often colourful, career ever since. The mother-of-two admits that throughout her time in the spotlight, she has always struggled with anxiety - something stars including Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez have also recently opened up about.

"Oh, I’m so weird. I get nervous in a lot of situations," Britney told the publication. "Parties, clubs. When there are a lot of people around, I’m a weird, anxiety-ridden person."

The Make Me... singer also opened up about her religious beliefs. When it comes to her thoughts on life after death, Britney said she is of the opinion there is an afterlife, and believes she is in this world to do her best before she passes on.

"I believe in an afterlife, of course. I’m a very spiritual person. I believe in heaven," she explained. "I believe we’re all here for a reason. I think we’re here just as people to pass it on and pass our information on to others, to inspire as much as we can. Inspire every day. And just to be good people, you know? And give back and help others."
