Bryan Singer will reportedly raise his baby with its mother. The X-Men: Days of Future Past director is said to be expecting his first child with long-time friend Michelle Clunie. While initial reports suggested that Michelle had been employed as a surrogate, new claims contest that the pair made the decision to have a baby together due to their close friendship.
Bryan is not paying Michelle for carrying the child, but will pay for her living expenses as a form of child support
According to TMZ.com, Bryan is not paying Michelle for carrying the child, but will pay for her living expenses as a form of child support.
The website claim that Bryan has already purchased a property for Michelle and the child to live in just yards away from his house in the Hollywood Hills.
TMZ also report that Michelle and Bryan are not romantically involved.
News of the baby comes after a difficult year for Bryan. In April, a man named Michael Egan claimed the filmmaker molested him as a teenager while he was involved in an illegal sex ring.
However, in August, Egan filed a motion to withdraw his lawsuit.
Bryan previously filed a motion in Hawaiian courts for the dismissal of Egan’s case against him. He has strenuously denied all allegations.
"The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“However, I promise when this situation is over, the facts will show this to be the sick twisted shake down it is. I want to thank fans, friends and family for all their amazing and overwhelming support."
