Brad Pitt has reportedly been cleared of child abuse allegations following an investigation by officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, DCFS experts closed their investigation involving an incident between Brad and his adopted son Maddox on board a private plane in September.

The alleged altercation prompted Pitt's wife Angelina Jolie to file for divorce four days later, but DCFS officials have ruled the actor did not commit child abuse during the reported argument.
Social workers have been interviewing the former couple and its six kids, as well as eye witnesses and staffmembers for weeks to get to the bottom of the alleged fracas.
The DCFS ruling gives Brad an edge in his custody battle with his estranged wife, who is asking for sole physical custody of the couple's adopted and biological kids. Brad wants joint custody.

Meanwhile, Brad made his first public appearance since his split with Jolie on Tuesday to attend a private screening of the critically acclaimed movie Moonlight, which his company Plan B executive produced.
Looking in good spirits but noticeably thinner than the last time he was seen, Brad wore a casual ensemble of a checked shirt with a dark jacket and pants. His good pal Julia Roberts accompanied him to the event to lend him moral support.
He also appeared on the red carpet once again on Wednesday night to attend the premiere of his new World War II movie, Allied, which also stars French actress Marion Cotillard.
Rumours surfaced an affair with the actress, who is pregnant with her sceond child, but both denied the shocking claims.
