Charlie Sheen is reportedly halfway to a $150 million (R1,5 billion) payday.

The Anger Management star is set to make a huge amount of money from the sitcom which will be eligible for syndication next year.

Gossip website TMZ explained the programme ? which recently filmed its 50th episode ? can be sold off to TV stations around the world once it hits a landmark 100 episodes.

Syndication is said to be a big moneymaker for TV shows, and the potential deals are expected to see Charlie earn at least R1,5 billion.

One star who won't be around to celebrate the milestone is Selma Blair, who was recently sacked from the show following a "heated battle" with the former Two and a Half Men actor after he heard she’d allegedly complained about his work ethic to producers.

Following her dismissal, the Cruel Intentions star showed her gratitude for the support of her fans. She said, "I thank you for [your] support and love."

Legally Blonde: The Musical actress Laura Bell Bundy has been named as her replacement in the upcoming third season.
