
The 41-year-old actress is famous for her blonde locks, which she has worn in styles such as a pixie crop and tumbling waves. But she’s never been afraid of mixing things up and even shaved her head for the role of Imperator Furiosa in 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road - safe in the knowledge that it wasn’t a permanent transformation. “With hair for some reason I’m not so fearful. I have no attachment to my hair - I’m excited about changing it and I always think that if I hate it, it’s going to grow back,” she shrugged to Vogue.co.uk. "Most of the time it’s the work I’m doing at that moment that is influencing it.

"I don’t do a ton of glamorous things, so usually my hair is all roots grown out and natural. In terms of products I’ve definitely noticed the difference between sulfate and non-sulfate formulas, so that’s my one thing I won’t change – my hair products have to have no sulfates in."
Charlize is also admired worldwide for her flawless complexion. Being a mother to son Jackson and daughter August means the star has little time on her hands first thing in the morning, therefore her focus on skincare comes mainly in the evenings.

“I have really learned to take care of my skin at night, so the mornings really are often just a hot washcloth, brushing my teeth and putting sunblock on. I mean literally, that’s it,” she said. “I can do a little more at night - it’s usually when the kids are asleep and I have a bit more time to myself. The idea of not washing or exfoliating at least two times a week is just – I can’t imagine that.”
Listing her products of choice, Charlize praised La Mer Cleansing Gel and Dior’s Instant Gentle Exfoliant. It’s no wonder she’s a fan of the second brand, as she’s been the face of its J'adore campaigns for over a decade now.
