Cher releases first album in 10 years

accreditation

Remember how we rocked to Believe and The Shoop Shoop Song? Now, that’s turning back time.

Well, we knew we hadn’t seen the last of her yet and now, after more than 10 years, Cher will release a new album on 24 September.

And to give us a taste of her new offering, she’ll be performing her song Woman’s World on the season finale of reality TV singing competition The Voice. It’s the first single from her upcoming and highly anticipated new studio album. It will also be her first live TV performance in more than a decade.

Woman’s World will be simultaneously released digitally on 18 June when fans can pre-order Cher’s new album on iTunes, Amazon or Cher.com. Her multiplatinum Believe album sold 20 million copies while the title track sold 11 million copies as a single.

Cher has an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and several Golden Globes among the long list of awards under her belt and is the only artist to have a No 1 single on the Billboard pop charts in each of the last six decades.

We do hope her new tune will be strong enough to make it to the top of the Billboard charts this decade, after the legendary career she’s paved for herself. We believe in you, Cher . . .
