Cuba Gooding Jr. "kept partying" after a brawl broke out in the nightclub he was in at the weekend. The 46-year-old actor enjoyed some time at New York City hotspot Tao Downtown on Saturday. Unfortunately an incident broke out on the table next to him, but apparently it didn't ruin Cuba's evening at all.

'He stayed after the ruckus and kept partying'

"He wasn’t involved in the fight physically, but he was there and sitting at the table next to it, watching it happen. He stayed after the ruckus and kept partying," an insider told New York Post.

It's claimed a promoter got into an argument with a group of guys at the exclusive venue. The incident was reportedly sparked after the men were asked to make some more room by moving tables, but they weren't enamoured by the idea.

"The table on the other side was full of some young guys who had bought bottles. The promoter asked the guys to move down and they said no," an insider claimed.

"He told them he’d have them kicked out and they poured a bottle of vodka on him. The promoter started to push and they pushed back and security got involved and ended up kicking the kids out."

According to New York Daily News, the men involved were in their early 20s. An insider told that publication that initially the group was talking to some women at the promoter's table, but things became heated after they were asked to move when more people arrived. Other people are said to have got involved with the scuffle, which was eventually stopped by the nightclub's security.

Cuba is said to have kept his cool throughout, with suggestions he was very taken by several of the women in the club.

His representative has commented on the reports.
