Denzil the dog thinks he's a meerkat

Even his neck seems to triple in length almost a bit like E.T. as well.

This one-year old dog has even been nicknamed Meerkat. "Despite being short of stature Denzil is very inquisitive and likes to get up with the action,” says his owner, Stephan Grothgar, of West London.

Most dogs are happy entertaining themselves by chasing their tails or barking at their own reflection, but Denzil’s different.

He likes walking on his hindlegs when crossing the road or when he’s in park. He can stand upright for longer than 30 seconds at a stretch.

“He can get onto his hind legs and stretch to what seems double his length,” Stephan says. “Even his neck seems to triple in length almost a bit like E.T. as well."
