She's always beautifully groomed and more often than not, dressed to the nines.

But former Miss World, Rolene Strauss (24), has shown with her latest selfie on Instagram that like the rest of us she’s not always glamorous. Rolene, from Volksrust in Mpumalanga, who is pregnant with her first child and is studying medicine at the University of the Free State, shared a photo of her studying on Instagram. “What my life consists of lately . . . Study, study and more studying,” she captioned the photo.

“You still look gorgeous!” one wrote. “You’re an inspiration.”

Messages poured in from all over the world, including this one, “Thank you, Rolene, for showing us your not so glamorous life. You inspire me every day to work hard and be a better person. Lots of love from Spain!!! ?”

Rolene was named the university’s ambassador at their alumni awards dinner. Heavily pregnant Rolene turned heads in a creation by local designer Casper Bosman. She attended the dinner with her husband, businessman D’Niel Strauss, whom she married in February this year. Rolene recently said that although their baby was yet to be born her husband was already the “best father in the world”. Cute!
