Crisis Medical spokesperson Neil Powell said paramedics arrived at the scene to find a Ferrari had overturned. Powell said further investigation revealed a 52 year old man trapped inside the vehicle, who sustained severe injuries.

“Paramedics worked together to extricate the driver of the Ferrari. With the assistance of Advanced Life support paramedics, the driver successfully stabilised on scene although he is still in critical condition. Once fully immobilised and placed on a ventilator, he was transported to hospital by Crisis Medical paramedics.”

Powell said witness reports at the scene indicated the vehicle was travelling at high speed down Mackeurtan Avenue.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle just before entering the circle causing it to collide with the barrier. The vehicle rolled before coming to a stop on its roof inside the circle, leaving the driver trapped inside.”

Powell said authorities were on scene to investigate.
