The bumbling oafs whose movies had kids rolling in the aisles of bughouses [rundown cinemas] in the ’60s and ’70s are back. They’re now maintenance men in the nun-run orphanage they grew up in and the sisters are pulling out their hair! In fact since childhood Curly (WILL SASSO), Moe (CHRIS DIAMANTOPOULOS) and Larry’s (SEAN HAYES) fiascos have steadily ruined the good financial standing of the institution and now it’s about to shut down.
This threat to a new generation of orphans galvanises the trio into a fundraising drive, but they wind up being hired for a hit and then become part of a reality TV show! This reinvention does the old Stooges in their grey flannels proud; it’s loads of fun and has heart.
