Ellie Goulding has shared behind-the-scenes snaps of Katy Perry’s birthday bash. The Burn hitmaker was among friends invited to celebrate Katy’s 30th year in Paris last weekend.
Details of the soirée appeared to be kept under wraps, amid rumours Katy had to cancel her original plans to celebrate in Egypt at the last minute. But two snaps shared by Ellie on Instagram seem to reveal the pair were soaking up the sights in the French capital while still dressing in Egyptian theme.
‘Overwhelmed with love today’
One photo shows Katy and a group of friends smiling under the Eiffel Tower.
Another shows the Firework hitmaker linking arms with Ellie as they talked.
Katy meanwhile took to Twitter to thank her 55 million followers for their birthday wishes.
"Overwhelmed with love today..." she wrote after turning the landmark year, officially on October 25.
Earlier reports suggested Katy had flown friends to Morocco’s capital city, Marrakesh, prior to the Parisian getaway.
“There were several fire dancers, knife and sword performers, and every night at dinner there were belly dancers,” a source told Us Weekly magazine of the first leg of the trip. “They came back the second night and had a dinner with lots of amazing belly dance routines and then turned the place into a dance party.”
