Five facts you didn’t know about Lady Gaga

accreditation

Lady Gaga often has tongues wagging with her bizarre behaviour. From wearing a meat dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards to smoking weed on stage at a show in Amsterdam last year, the singer loves to shock. Here are some interesting facts about the outlandish pop star:

1. She spends a whopping $100 000 (R 1 million) a year on linen. She insists on bringing her own bedding when on tour and, being a bit of a germaphobe, has it dry cleaned.

2. Lady Gaga takes a specific cup and saucer everywhere with her. She says it reminds her of home as she used it to drink tea with her mother.

3. The singer is actually a brunette, but dyed her hair blonde as people confused her with British singer Amy Winehouse. “I want to be known for my own look,” she told People magazine.

4. She’s good to her fans. She affectionately calls them “Little Monsters” and once bought $1 000 (R10 000) worth of takeaway pizzas for fans queuing for her autograph.

5. Her musical talent was evident from a young age. She was only four years old when she taught herself to play the piano.
