We may be used to seeing her acting on stages or performing comedic acts, but now comedian and actress Tumi Morake has landed herself a new gig as the host for the fourth season of popular Mzanzi Magic reality show, Our Perfect Wedding. The show follows couples around on the days leading to and including their big day. From the food to the decor, wedding attire, wedding dress and traditional ceremonies, Our Perfect Wedding covers it all, often leaving audiences at home in stitches with all of the not-so-perfect aspects that can be seen on the show. "I am expecting colourful characters and all kinds of curve balls. Generally, I try to maintain a good humour about things so I hope I will be able to relay some of the questions I think people at home will be asking themselves as they watch things unfold. As a comedian people expect me to be out to mock, but I am out to maintain a simple hashtag: #goodtimes," Tumi tells YOU.
Previously hosted by Phumeza Mdabe, Tumi will take over as host as of season 4 which resumes in January next year.
The comedian who is married to Mpho Osei-Tutu, also an actor and screenwriter, has some experience with weddings, having had a traditional and white wedding of her own told the Sunday World newspaper that she is "thrilled" to be hosting the show.
"I’m excited about this gig! I love people and I am about to spend a lot of time meeting people from all walks of life as they go through a hectic right of passage," she adds.
