Gaga’s ‘very important ink’

Lady Gaga got some “very important ink” Thursday.

The Born This Way singer took to Instagram to share a photo of tattoo artist Eric Gonzalez drafting a line drawing of what appeared to be a hand with stiletto nails before placing it on her back.

“Getting some very important ink from the the great @Nspired1's time #monster4life,” she wrote.

Gaga later shared another photo of herself with her dress hiked up to reveal her backside, and pulled down to allow Eric access to her back and ribs, where he was etching the design.

“#HausWork @nspired1 having a real night with the kids, we sure know how to party. #jazzpunk,” she wrote. Eric also posted his own picture, showing the pop star with her back to the camera as she laid on her side after the design was in place. “About to tattoo @ladygaga #nspired1 #deerseyestudio #bishoprotary #inkeeze #kwadron #stencilgreen #iProlens #fsas #growinggardens #ladygagabandtattootour #ladygaga,” he captioned the image.

Gaga is known for her love of tattoos.

The 28-year-old last year got an etching of the word “Rio” where the letter “I” resembles the Brazil city’s Christ The Redeemer statue.

She also has the words “Little Monsters” inked onto the inside of her left upper arm in tribute to her fans, who she refers to as "little monsters".

The words were inked next to an existing tattoo of a quote from Austrian poet and art critic Rainer Maria Rilke.

She also has a peace sign on her wrist, an elaborate white rose and music note design in the centre of her lower back, and multiple inkings on her left shoulder blade, among other designs.
