The price of diesel (0.05 percent sulphur) would decrease by 53.50 cents a litre, and that of diesel (0.005 percent sulphur) by 54.30 cents a litre.

Petrol will now cost R12.47 a litre at Gauteng and R12.06 at the coast. The wholesale diesel price will be R11.31.

The new prices would come into effect on Wednesday.
