Graphic video shows what getting a tattoo looks like in slow motion

If your teen has been badgering you to let them get a tattoo, you might want to show them this!

Brave YouTube 'scientist', host of the online video series Smarter Every Day, known only as Destin, decided he wanted to show his viewers exactly what goes into getting inked. So he marched right into a tattoo parlour in the US and asked if he could film the whole process. Tattoo artist Leah explains the entire process, right from how the tattoo machine ("We don't call it a gun, that's a no no!) works, to how the ink is permanently etched into the skin.
