Pat yesterday asked his girlfriend, Kate Symonds, with whom he’s been since their high school days, to marry him.

Radio DJ Darren Scott congratulated the couple on Twitter, saying, “Congrats @PatLambie on your engagement to Kate! Wish you both a blessed, happy life together.”

Kate’s Facebook page was also full of messages of congratulations.
