We thought we’d said "Bye Bye Bye" to this boy band for good – but rumour has it boy band ‘N Sync will take to the stage once more at the Video Music Awards (VMAs) this weekend.
While nothing has yet been confirmed, Us Weekly reported that “an MTV source” has told the magazine producers are “trying to make it happen” and the reunion is “coming together”.
The group hasn’t performed together in almost a decade. Their last performance was in 2004 when they sang the US national anthem at their annual ‘N Sync’s Challenge for the Children.
It’s even been reported superstar Justin Timberlake – who’s since far surpassed the fame of his former bandmates – will also be part of the reunion.
This is surprising, considering JT was famously quoted as saying he “looked like a moron” during his ‘N Sync days. Plus, the reunion might get a bit awkward, since Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick noticeably didn’t crack the nod to Justin’s wedding last year. Oops!
