That case goes back to the Western Cape High Court on November 18 for a pre-trial hearing.
The 21-year-old is out on bail of R100 000 after he was charged with the triple murder of his mother, father and brother at their Stellenbosch home in 2015.
He appeared for a pre-trial hearing in September. He stands accused of axing to death his parents Martin, 54, and Teresa, 55, and his brother Rudi, 22, in their home on the De Zalze golf estate in the early hours of Tuesday, January 27 2015.
Allegations were previously reported that Henri was suspected to have a tik (methamphetamine) addiction, a drug often associated with sporadic violent behaviour.
He had reportedly spent time in a rehabilitation facility.
Henri's blood was never tested after the attack on his family.
Narita du Toit, Henri's aunt, previously told You magazine that rumours that Henri was on drugs, had been in rehab and a psychiatric clinic, were untrue.
The case was postponed to October 19.
