The So Yesterday singer started dating Jason Walsh this summer after their gym relationship became so much more. And Hilary made the romance Instagram official on 16 October, 2016 when she captioned a shot of the couple: "Date night with J."

The 29-year-old opened up about Jason during an appearance on Good Day New York in September, 2016 but stopped short of confirming the romance.

"We've known each other for a really long time and he's a great guy and we have a lot of fun together," she said.

"It's nice to have that excitement in my life."

But sources tell GossipCop the couple called it quits last week, parting ways amicably.

It is not clear if Walsh will continue to train the singer/actress now they're no longer dating.

The short-lived relationship marked Duff’s first official romance since her divorce from Mike Comrie, the father of her four-year-old son, Luca.

She split from former ice hockey player Comrie in January, 2014, after four years of marriage, and they finalised their divorce in February, 2016. However, in May, 2016, the former couple was photographed sharing a lingering kiss goodbye in Beverly Hills, California. Hilary did not comment on speculation suggesting they were briefly back on, but she has always maintained their separation was amicable, and they have remained friendly as they co-parent their son Luca.

"We are good friends and we laugh a lot," she shared with U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in January, 2016 "and we have a great communication and we share pictures when one is not with Luca. He's (Mike) great, we are great and we keep on trucking."
