When Lynette Beukes' husband and son arrived at their home in Helderkruin yesterday, they couldn't find her.
They looked everywhere for her -- until they made the horrifying discover in her bedroom.
Her body was reportedly lying next to her bed in their house in the Westrand suburb, close to Kloofendal Nature Reserve in Johannesburg.
A security company, paramedics from ER24 and the police were called out to the address on Banket Street between 5 and 6pm on 6 September.
Lynette, who was in her 50s, apparently spoke a neighbor on her way to the shop a few hours before the incident.
The suspects, who apparently spent only 15 minutes in the house, gained access through a round window in the bedroom. According to reports only her cell phone, which is still missing, was taken from the house.
Security footage shows how the suspects climbed over the wall and then climbed back over 15 minutes later before disappearing down the road.
Although there were reports that Lynette was strangled with a tie neighbours say that the suspects suffocated her with a duvet which they threw over her body before they ran off.
The motive for the killing is unknown and police are still investigating.
