Hot mama!

accreditation

Ooh la la! Check out Morgan Deane Smith’s hot bod! It’s been two months since the Irish pop singer and her hubby, Proteas Test skipper Graeme Smith, welcomed their second child, Carter, into the world but Morgan has already managed to lose almost all the weight she gained during her second pregnancy. And the mom of two couldn’t wait to post a snap of the amazing results of her diet and fitness regime on her Facebook and Instagram accounts. ‘‘I was 80 kg in the preggie pic! I’m 63 kg now! It’s taken 8 weeks . . . [I’m] hoping to hit my target weight of 59 kg in the next eight weeks,’’ she told us via e-mail. The couple also has an adorable 13-month-old daughter, Cadence.

So how exactly did Morgan lose the weight so fast?

Her workout routine:

‘‘I work out for 50 to 70 minutes six days a week; I run 20 to 40 minutes on the treadmill, use the stepper for 20 minutes,’’ she says. ‘‘I do 60 squats and 60 lunges in sets of 20s, I do 15 minutes of weights, 3.5 kg in each hand. I have not started [a] core work out yet; [I’m] going try Pilates from next week!’’

Her eating plan

‘‘I eat 1 000 calories a day and burn off 600 calories through exercise!’’ Talk about a superwoman!

Breakfast: Kellogg’s Special K with a banana for breakfast every morning.

Lunch: Woolworths’ Slimmer’s Choice tomato soup with four Pro-Vitas and peanut butter.

Supper: Kingklip or chicken.

Morgan also drinks two litres of water every day. ‘‘I drink alcohol at the weekend but only vodka, lime and soda. Wine and champagne are a no-no, red occasionally,’’ she says.

‘‘I’m losing on average 1 kg a week.’’

She adopted the new lifestyle two years ago and the routine works for her, she says. ‘‘The exercise gets easier every week so I try to up my levels. Baby weight is very different to lose compared to regular weight gain, especially since I yoyo’d my weight with two pregnancies in 12 months!’’ Well, you could’ve fooled us!
