Rapper Kanye West reportedly doesn't see the need to marry Kim Kardashian because he thinks the idea of marriage is “outdated".
The 36-year-old wants to have a "modern" relationship with the reality TV star and doesn't want to wed just because Kim gave birth to their daughter, North, in June.
"Kanye is telling friends he'll never marry Kim,” a source told website Radar Online.
"He has no need or desire to make their relationship official in the eyes of the law . . . Kanye prefers the idea of them as ‘partners’.
"He's all about embracing the modern and the new. He doesn't feel he has to marry Kim just because they have a [daughter] together."
It's said Kanye's position isn't a problem for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who’s warming to the idea of their relationship being more "low key". "Kim feels she's been there, done that when it comes to a big, splashy wedding,” the insider added. "She used to be so much more into the fame game but now that she's drifting away from the family and trying to do her own thing, she's becoming more adamant about doing things on her own terms and keeping it low key.
