The social media storm that followed a North West mom's WhatsApp faux pas raged for a good two days after the picture was leaked online.
And, as is wont to happen when the Twitter community gets hold of something, memes ensued.
Amid the constant stream of (some very cruel) jokes, what looked like a Nando's ad surfaced. It read, "Magaret, we've seen your poultry. It's priceless. For everything else, there's our chicken." But the fast food chain have come out saying that they had absolutely nothing to do with the "advert".
"The current Nando’s poster doing the rounds poking yet more fun at Margaret van Wyk is definitely not an official Nando’s advert," they said in a statement.
"At Nando’s, we don’t poke fun at individuals who make mistakes, and we are horrified at the attack and cyber-bullying of Margaret.
"While we appreciate the enthusiasm of fans who produce copy-cat posters, we don’t appreciate this one. In addition, this poster does not reflect our visual identity and it doesn’t use the right Nando’s logo."
In addition, as some eagle-eyed YOU readers pointed out, the fake poster also spells her name incorrectly.
Here's an old Nando's ad, for comparison.
