Jake Gyllenhaal loves doing DIY with his dad.
The 32-year-old actor enjoys father-son bonding time while developing his woodworking skills with his director dad, Stephen, but above all he likes putting on his chef's hat in the kitchen.
Talking to UK radio station Magic Breakfast, he said, "I do love woodworking, I love carpentry; I find it incredibly impossible in many ways so I like that about it. My father and I have built a number of things together . . . I enjoy spending time with him . . . And I love to cook, probably more than anything!"
Meanwhile, the actor is keen to make a return to British theatre following his early career stint in Kenneth Lonergan's revival of This is Our Youth, which earned him stellar reviews and an Outstanding Newcomer theatre award from the Evening Standard newspaper.
He previously said, "Definitely; I love it here [in the UK] and I loved working here on the stage."
He would snap up the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Old Vic Theatre ? which is run by Kevin Spacey ? in London, and gushed, "The Old Vic is such an incredible institution and an amazing theatre space; I would love to work there! And if that temptation calls, I will answer in one way or another!"
