The 45-year-old singer is currently single after splitting from dancer toyboy beau Casper Smart earlier this year. But Jennifer says she isn’t going to rush into a new relationship because she is doing her best to concentrate on loving herself first. “I'm not dating right now,” Jennifer said during the interview with TV show Extra. “I just decided I was taking some time to be on my own. And be my own best friend… What does that feel like, Jen?”
‘I will go slower. I think I'll be a lot more cautious’
And asked how she will behave differently in her next romance, Jennifer replied: “I will go slower. I think I'll be a lot more cautious."
Jennifer also spoke about what she thinks was missing from her previous relationships. The mother-of-two has been married three times, to waiter Ojani Noa, dancer Cris Judd and singer Marc Anthony.
“There was something in my relationships that wasn't lining up... the missing component was me loving myself and being able to take care of myself,” she said. “They always say put on the oxygen mask first, right? But it's true... you have to love yourself.”
But Jennifer has learned what she is looking for in the perfect guy. And she certainly has an extensive list of requirements for any potential new beau.
“He behaves very good, he's super faithful, he's super sweet. He's funny… he doesn't have to be famous at all,” Jennifer said.
