The 42-year-old Modern Family star has maintained a friendship with her former fiancé Nick Loeb, and the pair even ran into each other on the red carpet at last month’s Angel Ball. But her current beau is said to have put his foot down about the arrangement. “He’s told Sofia that he wants this guy gone for good – or he’s outta there and they’re welcome to each other,” a source told OK! Magazine.

Sofia began dating the True Blood hunk in July of this year, just two months after ending her two-year engagement with Nick. The couple have since been inseparable, even pictured together in Savannah, Georgia where Joe is filming Magic Mike XXL.
“Joe has been very patient about Sofia’s friendship with Nick,” the insider went on. “But seeing him show up on the red carpet [at the Angel Ball] recently was the final straw.”
Sofia was also spotted catching up with Nick in New York City last month. The pair were seen sharing a civil hug before parting ways, but apparently there is more brewing beneath the surface.
“[Sofia] is steaming mad and sick of [Nick’s] mind games,” the source said. “But as much as she tries to get rid of him, they still run in the same social circles and he has this creepy ability to get under her skin.”
Apparently getting over her former partner has not been an easy task, even with Joe on the scene. Her new relationship has appeared to be a solid one, but it has been suggested her emotions for Nick may get in the way.
“Sofia still has feelings for Nick,” the insider added.
