The 51-year-old actor became engaged to his The Rum Diary co-star in December 2013. But it’s now claimed he’s finding her difficult at times, perhaps due to their 23-year age gap. “Johnny is crazy in love with Amber, but there is turmoil in the relationship,” a source told RadarOnline.
'Johnny wants to make it work but may hold off on marriage for now'
Apparently the stunning actress is not quite ready to devote her life to one person, and prefers to have many friends. She’s said to be less ready than her fiancé is for marriage.
“Amber flirts and has many different relationships,” the insider revealed. “She is not really ready to settle down.”
Johnny, however, is apparently eager to make it work with his love. But he is said to be contemplating putting off their actual wedding until he feels more secure about their relationship.
“Johnny wants to make it work but may hold off on marriage for now,” according to the source. “While he is crazy about her, she is a real challenge for him.”
There have also been reports Amber is reconsidering marrying Johnny.
The Pirates of the Caribbean legend took to the stage at the Hollywood Film Awards in November apparently intoxicated, and delivered a slurred speech.
“In the beginning of the relationship, Johnny never drank, and that was the man Amber fell for,” a source recently told America’s OK! Magazine. “Amber has since tried to talk to Johnny about his drinking but he’s not responding.”
Johnny and Amber met when they were both starring in The Rum Diary in 2012.
Amber has come out as bisexual, and before Johnny she dated photographer Taysa van Ree.
