Johnny did abuse Amber - new claims

Documents filed this week in court claim his staff and security were aware of the 54-year-old's "extremely volatile" nature and that he sometimes "got physical" with his then-wife, actress Amber Heard (31). In fact his team claim they knew of an incident where the Pirates of the Caribbean star violently kicked Amber in 2014.

The revelations were included in court documents filed this week by Johnny's former management group TMG who the actor is suing to the tune of $25 million for mismanaging his money which has seen him land up with a $40 million debt problem.

TMG, however, claim Depp's money problems are his own fault and down to his lavish spending habits which included chartering private jets and buying islands.

Amber divorced Johnny last year claiming he emotionally and physically abused her - claims TMG say are accurate.

During their divorce saga, Amber released a series of text messages which included the kicking encounter between her and Johnny's assistant that referred to the alleged abuse. Johnny denied the messages.

"Depp and his long-time assistant publicly denied the messages and outrageously accused Heard of manufacturing them," it states in one court filing.

"TMG is informed and believes that Depp knew full well that the text messages were genuine, but pressured and berated his assistant to falsely challenge the texts publicly."
